Great Lakes Lighthouses- Lake Erie Lighthouses

Toledo Harbor Lighthouse
Officially described as "Romanesque." Can only be seen by boat. Maumee Bay.



Old Port Clinton Lighthouse

In a marina on the river
-North shore of Portage River, just west of drawbridge. . It once sat on a breakwater, in the great lakes, at the mouth of the river. South of Highway 163- only the top portion remains.



Marblehead Lighthouse-Great Lakes Lighthouse

Lake Erie Lighthouse.
Deemed oldest lighthouse on Lake Erie. Now owned by Ohio State Parks and has tours.
Driving on Ohio Route 2, exit on Ohio Route 53 N and then head east on Route 163 to the lighthouse.


South Bass Island Lighthouse
Can be seen by boat. Private Property.
Southwest end of South Bass Island.



Cedar Point Lighthouse
 



Huron Harbor Pierhead Light
Erie County
Can walk to it along a rugged break wall.
North end of west pier .



Vermilion Lighthouse
Erie County
Lake Erie Lighthouse-Replica of the original at
Inland Seas Museum ; you can view it up close. Gift shop and museum.



Lorain West Breakwater Lighthouse
West harbor breakwater. Visible from shore


Lorain East Breakwater Lighthouse

End of east breakwater



Cleveland West Pierhead Light
Visible from shore.
West pierhead of Cleveland breakwall on Coast Guard Property-not open to public.



Cleveland East Pierhead Light
Visible from shore but is
isolated on the breakwall and best viewed from a boat.



Old Fairport Harbor Main Lighthouse
Part of a musuem- you can walk up to it.
Ohio Route 2 to Fairport Road.



Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Lighthouse
Visible from shore but on private Coast Guard Property.
On the West Fairport Breakwater.



Ashtabula Lighthouse
Visible only by boat. On private Coast Guard Property.



Conneaut West Breakwater Lighthouse
